Our group is interested in the basic mechanisms of human  mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) replication and how this process is regulated. We also study the effects of pathological mutations in replication factors and how these lead to human disease and ageing. The group uses mainly in vitro biochemical approaches and cell line analyses.
